Breathe Easier With An Air Purifier

Cleaners are an effective way to eliminate the struggle of dust build-up and allergens indoors. The answer to that debate is simple: truthfully, they are effective. Now, we aren’t claiming that they will zap all the dust and debris from your home 100% of the time, but they are certainly useful machines that can reduce the irritation you feel from allergies.

We are in the middle of changing seasons, and for many of us, that means allergies. Some of us have it easy and only experience a runny nose or some frequent sneezing, while others endure a challenging stretch of feeling like your entire face is a blown fire hydrant.

We don’t know of a cure-all solution for having allergies. Dealing with pollen and dust are just a part of being alive. Of course, you can take medicine and feel better, but that is less a solution to the problem and more of a remedy for the symptoms.

Whole-home air cleaners are a wonderful way to help reduce the amount of airborne dust and pollen in your home. To say it quite plainly, they pull air from the inside of your home, filter it, and then push it back out into your home. All the dust and floating debris is filtered out of the air and will no longer be a bother to you or your family members.

One thing that we want people to be aware of, though, is that air purifiers are not going to lift dust from the surfaces in your home and filter it. They are not powerful enough to do so, and to have a device that is powerful enough would essentially create a dust storm in your house, which is obviously not ideal.

The need for dusting and general home upkeep will still be there when you purchase an air purifier. But you should certainly notice a difference in the amount of dust that you need to clean. Whatever dust that is airborne will be sucked in by the purifier, but since these machines are not powerful enough to suck in every speck of dust, some will still fall onto the surfaces in your home.

Portable air purifiers use ultraviolet radiation to destroy viruses and bacteria that are floating around in your home. So not only do these reduce the amount of dust that might have settled on your home surfaces, they also reduce the amount of microscopic organisms that would also cause your allergies to flare up.

You can also have a filter installed into your already existing HVAC unit. These filters come in different varieties and use different methods to help get rid of dust and allergens. The whole home systems use ultraviolet lamps, gas-phase filters, and electricity to create charges that will  filter particles out of the air.

The main point is that while all these options are not cure-all solutions by themselves, you can find out what methods will work best for you and your home, and take steps from there. Like many issues in our lives, there isn’t just one simple answer, as much as we would like there to be. Solutions often come in packages, and the key is to find out which package will work best for you personally.
