A dripping faucet is easy to ignore until the handle becomes difficult to use, water begins leaking around the base or the steady drip starts wasting water every day. At Arco Home Services, our licensed plumbers repair leaking and malfunctioning faucets throughout Cleveland Metro and Northeast Ohio, including kitchen, bathroom, laundry and utility fixtures.

We do not assume every faucet leak needs a new fixture. Many problems come from serviceable cartridges, seals, valve seats, O-rings, supply connections or aerators. We inspect the faucet and the plumbing below it, explain what has failed and provide upfront pricing before approved work begins. If replacement makes more sense, we can install a compatible new faucet and make sure the connections are secure.

What Causes a Faucet to Leak?

The cause depends on the faucet design and where the water is escaping. A drip from the spout often points to a worn cartridge, washer, seal or valve seat that is no longer shutting water off completely. Water around the handle can come from internal O-rings or cartridge seals. A leak at the base or below the sink may involve the faucet body, mounting area, shutoff valve or flexible supply connector.

Mineral buildup and normal wear can also affect moving parts over time. The important distinction is whether the leak is inside the faucet, at a plumbing connection below it or from the supply piping itself. We identify that before replacing parts.

  • Worn cartridges, washers, O-rings or internal seals
  • Damaged or corroded valve seats
  • Loose faucet-body or handle components
  • Leaking supply connectors or shutoff valves
  • A cracked or deteriorated faucet body
  • Mineral buildup affecting aerators or internal movement

What Faucet Problems Can We Repair?

Faucet service includes more than a drip. We repair faucets that are difficult to turn, leak around the handle, produce weak or uneven flow, squeal or chatter during use, spray from the wrong area or continue running after the handle is closed. We also inspect under-sink connections when moisture appears in the cabinet.

Single-handle, two-handle and many common pull-down or pull-out kitchen faucets use different internal parts, so repair starts with identifying the fixture and failure. If a specialty or older faucet no longer has practical replacement parts available, we explain that before recommending a new fixture.

How Does Our Faucet Repair Process Work?

A good faucet repair should correct the leak without creating a new one at the supply connections or fixture base. Our process looks at the faucet and the plumbing that feeds it so the repair is complete.

  1. Identify where the water is escaping. We check the spout, handle area, base, supply lines, shutoff valves and nearby drain connections.
  2. Shut off the fixture water supply. We isolate the faucet before disassembly so the work can be completed safely and cleanly.
  3. Inspect the internal faucet components. Depending on the design, we evaluate cartridges, stems, washers, seats, seals and O-rings for wear or damage.
  4. Repair the serviceable component or explain replacement. If the faucet can be repaired reliably, we replace the failed part. If the body is damaged or parts are obsolete, we discuss a compatible replacement.
  5. Reconnect and test the fixture. We restore water, operate hot and cold sides, check flow and confirm that the faucet and under-sink connections remain dry.

Why Is My Faucet Leaking Under the Sink?

Water under a sink does not always come from the faucet’s internal valve. A flexible supply connector can loosen or fail, a shutoff valve can seep around its stem or connection, and water from the faucet base can run through the mounting opening into the cabinet. Drain components can also leak only when the sink is being used.

We trace the timing and path of the water before repairing it. If the cabinet is wet even when the faucet has not been used, the problem may be on the pressurized supply side. If water appears only while the sink drains, we investigate the drainage connections instead.

When Should a Faucet Be Replaced Instead of Repaired?

Repair usually makes sense when the faucet body is sound and the failure is limited to a replaceable internal part or connection. Replacement may offer better value when the body is cracked or corroded, parts are no longer available, the fixture has repeated problems or the homeowner wants a different configuration or finish.

When we replace a faucet, we also check the shutoff valves and supply connections that will remain in service. Installing a new fixture on a failing valve or deteriorated connector can leave the homeowner with a new faucet and an old leak waiting underneath it.

Why Choose Arco Home Services for Faucet Repair?

We have served Cleveland and Northeast Ohio homes since 1955, and our licensed plumbers treat faucet repair as part of the plumbing system rather than a cosmetic fixture swap. We check the component that is leaking, the connections below it and the condition of the shutoff valves so the repair addresses the complete problem.

You receive upfront pricing before approved work begins and a clear recommendation about repair versus replacement. If the moisture turns out to come from a pipe leak, drain problem or another fixture, we can connect the visit to the appropriate plumbing service. Our work is backed by a 100% satisfaction guarantee.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you repair touchless or sensor faucets?

Many touchless faucets can be diagnosed for power, sensor, solenoid or valve-related problems, although repair options depend on the model and availability of parts.

Why does my faucet splatter or spray unevenly?

A clogged or damaged aerator is a common cause. Mineral debris can distort the stream even when the faucet valve itself is working normally.

Why does a faucet squeal when I turn it on?

Noise can come from worn washers, internal valve components, restricted flow or pressure conditions. The fixture needs to be inspected to identify the source.

Can a loose faucet handle be repaired?

Often. A loose handle may involve a screw, adapter, stem or cartridge connection rather than a failed faucet body.

Will replacing a faucet improve low water pressure?

Only if the restriction is inside the faucet or aerator. If low pressure affects multiple fixtures, the cause is more likely elsewhere in the plumbing system.

Can high household water pressure damage faucets?

Yes. Excessive pressure can place added stress on cartridges, seals, supply connectors and other plumbing components. Repeated fixture problems may justify a pressure evaluation.nsider the septic system design, maintenance and manufacturer guidance.

Your home’s hero is standing by to restore your comfort, protect your home, and get your water flowing again — the right way.

We originally called Acro for one issue but ended up with getting our very out dated breaker boxes replaced which was definitely needed. Shavine M. and Evan S. were both our electric technicians for our full job. Shavine M. was the first technicians on site and was very prompt. The gentlemen let us know before hand the amount of time the power was going to be out and we gave them the space to work. After the work was completed, Shavine gave a walk through of the work completed today and a explaination of the next steps after. We are very happy with the work completed and Shavine and Evan were a pleasure to have as technicians on the job.
