The Higher the SEER Rating, the More Efficient Your Air Conditioner Will Be
Arco is an authorized Rheem dealer. As such, we can offer the top warranties and have access to excellent deals and we can pass on the savings to our customers. This customer wanted a 3.5-ton unit. Her home is 3,800 square feet and she wanted two units; one to cool the upstairs and the other to cool downstairs.
She also wanted a model that was at least 14 SEER. SEER stands for Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio. It rates how efficient a system operates. While older models range from around 6-10 SEER, newer models go all the way up to 18 SEER. Let’s say you have an older model that is 6 SEER and it costs you about $150 a month to run. If you upgrade to a 14 SEER unit, your bills would more than likely be in the $90 a month range. Over time, the new system would eventually pay for itself in energy savings.
If you are unsure about what type of air conditioner system is right for you, call Arco today. We’ll help you pick the correct system for the size of your home and also help you choose the most efficient model available for your needs.
